This class is ongoing, is great for drop-ins, it is beginner focused but all levels are welcome.
Skills & Concepts Covered
This class introduces students to the foundational movements and techniques of Belly Dance. Students will work on:

Posture, alignment, and body awareness

Foundational hip, torso, and abdominal movements

Isolations and muscle control

Arm positions, pathways, and coordination

Shimmies and basic movement variations

Transitions and connecting movements

Basic musicality, rhythm, and movement interpretation

Building confidence and comfort through repetition and practice
Typical Class Flow

Warm-Up: Prepare the body and establish posture, alignment, and body awareness.

Technique: Break down and practice foundational movements with attention to proper technique.

Drills & Practice: Develop muscle memory, coordination, and control through repetition.

Combinations: Put movements together into short combinations and sequences.

Musicality/Freestyle: Practice applying technique to music.

Cool Down: Gentle, restorative, or heart-rate-lowering.
Attainable Goal & Benefits
Students can expect to develop a solid foundation in Belly Dance technique, improve coordination and body awareness, and gain confidence performing foundational movements to music. The goal is for students to leave class with practical skills they can continue practicing independently and build upon in future classes.
Class focus and topics will be responsive to student needs, interests, and requested areas of exploration.
